Whether travelling the world or cross-border shopping is in your future, or you will be visiting family or friends in another province, your full Ontario healthcare plan will not travel with you.

That means that, if you experience a medical emergency while outside Ontario, you will be responsible to arrange for your own care and pay for it, unless you have put in place a pre-arranged travel insurance plan.
